Images are so important. The visual aspect of any site says so much. A hackneyed phrase it might be but a picture IS worth a thousand words.
The first criterion of an image is that it has to be of good quality. A picture taken with a 4 to 6 megapixel camera is fine, 8 is very good and 10 megapixel is perfect.

The second criterion is the actual size of the picture in kilobytes / megabytes. In the old days before broadband images of more than a few hundred kilobytes took an age to download. Today's broadband makes life so much easier. However a 5 megabyte picture ~ decent screen size and great resolution ~ is too big to be practically displayed on a web site. Then imagine having 15 of them!
The third criterion is that they have to be displayed in an aesthetic way. The best pictures demand the best framing. The display should also be user friendly and allow interaction, i.e. navigation, enlargement especially a full screen display. Again in the days of old browsers, full screen often led to crashes but those days are long gone. [By the way Firefox 3.5 is the best. Get it here. ]
So we are developing this software for clients now. The procedure will be for you to send us a package of your images in a zip file, we will then process them [we can't re-take the picture, so they have to be of good resolution.]we presume they are.jpg files but we can covert from any format. They are then put them up on our server for your perusal. We will email you with the site address. We can make some adjustments but we are offering a package deal so that we can keep the pricing down. Charges are 100 Euros for up to 100 images. More than that and we can negotiate a price.
